ULMA Takes Part in the APD North Competitiveness Forum

ULMA joined the APD North Competitiveness Forum (Foro de Competitividad APD Norte), held on October 8 at the Euskalduna Palace in Bilbao and organized by the Association for Progress in Management (APD). The forum addressed the main challenges of competitiveness at a time when technology, talent, and transformation are redefining the rules of business growth.

During the event, Sánchez spoke at the roundtable “Competitiveness in Action: Technology, Regulation, and Talent,” which explored how to boost productivity, adapt to the regulatory framework, and build sustainable competitive advantage. The event also featured Carlota González, CEO of Grupo Rafael González; Alejandra López, of EDP Redes; Alex Artetxe, of Arteche; and Juanjo Álvarez, of the University of the Basque Country.

In her remarks, Sánchez, who heads up one of the nine businesses of the ULMA Group, highlighted the role of technological innovation in improving organizations’ competitiveness: “The key to gaining a significant competitive advantage from technological innovation is to rethink our organizations’ processes from scratch.”

She also stressed the importance of companies building organizational cultures that can make decisions quickly, even without complete information, so they can adapt to an ever-changing business environment.

Meritxell Sánchez, CEO of ULMA Forged Solutions, took part in an event focused on the challenges of business competitiveness and the role of innovation, regulation, and talent.
