The<strong> forging<\/strong> process\r\nbegins with the heating of the raw material according to the type of steel, followed by slicing\r\noff\r\nthe workpiece.\r\nThis is then transferred to the press where it is mechanically deformed\r\nuntil the desired shape is obtained. In this operation, the material undergoes <strong>changes\r\nin its internal structure<\/strong> through the application\r\nof compression forces, thanks to which we get the characteristic grain texture\r\nof the forging process, with its positive effect on the <strong>mechanical<\/strong><strong>\r\nproperties of<\/strong> the resulting forging blank. <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>Heat<\/em><em>\r\ntreatment<\/em><em><\/em><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>In\r\nthe next phase, the raw forging material is transferred to our <strong>heat<\/strong><strong>\r\ntreatment<\/strong> facilities where we subject the product to dramatic\r\ntemperature changes that\r\nare able to <strong>alter the internal structure of the\r\nsteel<\/strong> without modifying its chemical\r\ncomposition,\r\nenhancing its mechanical properties. The main variables in this step are <strong>temperature<\/strong>\r\nand <strong>time,<\/strong> the recipes varying with\r\nthe type of steel and the desired end properties. The equipment we use in\r\nthis process consists\r\nmainly of gas\r\nfurnaces\r\nand chilled water baths.\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The\r\nmechanical properties of the final product are achieved through the\r\nforging and heat treatment processes. Once these are\r\ncompleted, we carry out <strong>destructive tests<\/strong>\r\nto ensure <strong>compliance<\/strong> with the appropriate\r\nstandards before the parts are machined. <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>Machining<\/em><em><\/em><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>In\r\nthis third phase,\r\n<strong>machining<\/strong>, the <strong>final dimensions<\/strong>\r\nof the parts are obtained through<strong> <\/strong>subtractive processes,\r\nin turning and drilling operations. We mark each one of them individually with\r\nthe full\r\ninformation required by the applicable standard and then apply an anti-rust <strong>protective varnish<\/strong> to all ferrous\r\nmaterials,\r\ncompleting the\r\nmanufacturing process.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>There\r\nis a final phase prior to the shipment of the material in which we carry out a\r\nseries of <strong>non-destructive tests<\/strong> to identify\r\nany surface or internal defects in the part, followed by a <strong>visual\r\nand dimensional inspection<\/strong>.
